Sadguru Sadanandacharya Swamiji Punyatithi Mahotsav Celebrated with Devotion
Sawantwadi: Various learning programs—such as Vedic schools (Veda Pathshalas), Sanskrit classes, and bhajan sessions—must be initiated through mutts and temples. Guiding our children toward moral values, religion, and cultural heritage will protect us from severe crises in the future. This is a defining time where we must choose whether to disregard our heritage and aimlessly absorb superficial worldly trends, or stand steadfast as dedicated custodians of our culture. Children pay close attention to how elders conduct themselves and how parents practice their values. If we actively share and model these principles, our dharma can be passed on effectively to the next generation. Be prepared to accept whatever God has bestowed with joy, and serve with pure devotion in your heart.
These inspiring thoughts were shared by Padma Shri awardee Adhyatma Shiromani Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji, Peethadhishwar of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth, during his spiritual address.
The Punyatithi Mahotsav of Rajadhiraj Sadguru Sadanandacharya Swamiji—the divine spiritual preceptor in the unbroken lineage of the Param Pujya Padmanabh Shishya Sampradaya—was celebrated on August 31 at Shri Kshetra Parandham Math, Gulduve, Sawantwadi (Maharashtra), in the divine presence of Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji.
Addressing the gathering further, Pujya Swamiji remarked: “Incorporate the steadfast belief into your values that ‘My Sadguru stands behind me and will protect me from every hardship,’ and live your life with true contentment. When you have this faith, all the happiness of the world will bow at your feet. Through the grace of Sadguru Sadanandacharya Swamiji, everyone has received the opportunity to earn spiritual merit. The radiant light visible throughout Goa today originates from this sacred Parandham, and the spiritual illumination of Goa’s Tapobhoomi is spreading across the world.”
The morning session at Parandham Math featured a Mahapooja at the sacred Samadhi of Sadguru, recitation of the Sadguru Charitra, the Sadguru Bhakti Mahayajna, Rudrabhishek at the Kashi Vishweshwar shrine, and traditional devotional performances by local bhajan troupes from the Gulduve region. The formal gathering featured the divine blessings and discourse by Pujya Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji. The evening session concluded with bhajans, Dhoop Aarti, prayers, Datta Guruvar celebrations, a Palkhi (palanquin) procession, and final blessings.
Dignitaries present included Adv. Brahmideviji, Padma Shri awardee and folk artist Parshuram Gangavane, office bearers of the Central Committee run by Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth, and devotees.
A large number of disciples and Hindu devotees attended the event, which concluded with Aarti and the sacred Pasayadan.
