Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant received blessings on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
Kundai: India is a land of saints, sages, and ascetics. On Guru Purnima, when the government visits monasteries, saints, and temples to offer its faith and devotion, it reflects the heritage passed down by our sages. Knowledge is the most supreme element in this world, and we acquire knowledge from gurus through various mediums. On the day of Guru Purnima, a coordination between religious authority (dharmasatta) and state authority (rajyasatta) is witnessed. Ayurveda, Sanskrit, the Vedas, and Yoga are the soul of our nation, and Dr. Pramod Sawant is the first Chief Minister of Goa who has supported these causes. He is committed to our Hindu society and Sanatana Dharma, making Dr. Pramod Sawant a Chief Minister of the majority, remarked Padma Shri Awardee Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji.
On the occasion of the Guru Purnima festival, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, on behalf of the Government of Goa, visited Shrikhetra Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth to seek the blessings of Padma Shri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, the Peethadhishwar of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth, and performed the Maha Aarti. Pujya Swamiji was addressing the gathering on this occasion.
Minister Subhash Phal Dessai, BJP State President Damu Naik, Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Veer Dhavalikar, and central office-bearers of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth were present at the event.
