Thousands of Hindus to perform the Shravani vidhi at Tapobhoomi, event will be marked at the Asian book of records

The sacred month of Shravan has just begun. For Hindus it marks the onset of various festivities that are of immense importance as it is the legacy passed on by the great Rishi Munis. One of the most important rituals performed during this month of Shravan by all the Hindu man is the “Yagyopavit Dharan Vidhi” that is donning of the sacred thread. The scared thread is of tremendous significance as it gives one the right to perform all the rituals in Hindu Dharma.
Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth holds the tradition to perform the Shravani vidhi where thousands of Hindu brethren come together and perform this ritual with the divine blessing of the Pithadhishwar Padma Shri awardee His Holiness Sadguru Barhmeshanand Acharya Swamiji. During this Shravani vidhi there are various rituals performed such as the Gau poojan wherein the sacred Gau mata is worshiped for the prosperity of our family, the “Mindavati Hoam” to seek forgiveness for the unintentional killing of the lifeforms, the Tarpan vidhi towards remembrance of our ancestors and as a prayer for the peace of their soul, the Ved Utsarjan vidhi wherein one recites and dedicates all the knowledge acquired to the divine lotus feet of the Guru, the Mruttika Snan for the blessings of mother Earth, Upakarma to gain knowledge with the blessings of Pujya Sadguruji,Yama prarthana to prevent accidental death and most importantly the Yagyopavit Dharan Vidhi performed in the presence of the Supreme deity His Holiness Pujya Sadguruji.

This year Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth is ready to set yet another milestone, with the divine blessings of the H.H. Pujya Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, thousands of Hindu man will be collectively performing the “Yagyopavit dharan vidhi” at Tapobhoomi Goa on the 30th of August and the world shall witness a mass Hindu gathering being marked at the Asian book of records and the Indian book of records.
