“The Sant Samaj Exists to Unite the Hindu Society”: Sadguru Brahmeshanand Swamiji

“You all, as office bearers, have come forward to serve the society and the Sadguru. Carry forward the virtuous deeds (Punyai) done by the Sant Samaj thus far with even greater vigor. The holy garland (Mala) around your neck, the sacred mark (Tilak) on your forehead, and the Gudhi in your hand—you must preserve this thousands-of-years-old tradition of the sages (Rishi-Munis). If the Sant Samaj had not existed today, Hindus would not have survived in Goa. Hindus in Goa are alive and thriving because of the Sant Samaj. Today, the Hindu society looks up to the Sant Samaj with great faith. It expects virtue and strong character from you. People hold hope that the Sant Samaj will do something significant for Gomantak (Goa). To change Goa’s 450-year-old history, the awakening of the Sant Samaj is essential. The Sant Samaj exists to unite the Hindu society. Therefore, do not destroy the Hindu community by falling prey to caste divisions. Setting personal selfishness aside, the people of the Sant Samaj should think about the welfare of all, just as the saints did.” This guiding address was delivered by the Peethadhishwar of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Padmashri Vibhushit Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji.

More than seventy branches of the Sant Samaj under Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth are actively functioning across Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. For the tenure of 2026 to 2029, new committees were announced across all Sant Samaj units through the ‘Sevarambh Utsav’ (Festival of Commencing Service). The oath-taking ceremony of all committee office-bearers was successfully held at Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth in the holy presence of Pujya Swamiji, during which he addressed the gathering.
Pujya Swamiji further stated, “Our objective is to unite the entire Hindu society and to carry out the Sadguru’s mission as a selfless service. Begin this victorious and monumental work from the very village where you reside, and attain the blessings of the Almighty. Keep in mind that the Guru is constantly trying to teach you infinite things through your conduct and actions. Keep the Guru as your one and only center.”

As the year 2026-27 marks the Silver Jubilee Year of Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji’s Gurupeetharohan, the ‘Sevarambh Utsav’ was celebrated with immense enthusiasm across all Sant Samaj units this year. The newly elected presidents of all Sant Samaj units were invited onto the dais and honored with a kumkum tilak, floral garlands, and a Gudhi. Following this, the rest of the office-bearers were announced, and everyone solemnly took their oaths with a firm resolve under the divine presence of Pujya Sadguruji.
On this occasion, the central office-bearers of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, members of the Sant Samaj Organizing Committee, and Taluka heads were present on the dais. The program was smoothly anchored by Deepak Gawas.
