Enhancing the Glory of Goa’s Vedic Tradition by Acquiring the “Ved Vibhushan” Degree

In the examinations for the academic year 2025-26 conducted by the Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Sanskrit Shiksha Board, Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), the Brahmavrunds (Vedic students) of Swami Brahmanand Vedic Gurukul & Research Institute, Tapobhoomi—which operates under the divine blessings of Adhyatma Shiromani, Padma Shri awardee Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji—secured excellent marks and attained the prestigious “Ved Vibhushan” degree.
To ensure that the future generation of the country is well-cultured, Swami Brahmanand Vedic Gurukul & Research Institute—which offers a wonderful confluence of holistic education including spirituality, Vedic studies, Sanskrit, astrology, yoga, and computer science—is imparting lessons in Vedic knowledge to society with patience and dedication. The Gurukul system is extremely important for creating a well-cultured society. Rashtrasant Sadguru Brahmanandacharya Swamiji opened the doors of this flow of Vedic knowledge for Hindus at Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth. As a result, the Vedic Gurukul is now extensively taking Vedic work to the common people. Tapobhoomi Gurupeeth hosts Goa’s only pathshala (school) for all four Vedas, where many batus (initiates) are pursuing their Vedic studies. Following the Gurukul method, the Veda Pathshala primarily teaches the Rigveda (Shakal branch), Shukla Yajurveda (Madhyandin branch), Samaveda (Kauthum branch), and Atharvaveda (Shaunak branch). Alongside Vedic instruction, classes in Sanskrit, computers, astrology, yoga, English, modern technology, regular academics, spirituality, and sanskars (values) are conducted for the holistic development of the Brahmavrunds.
In the Rigveda Pathshala, under the guidance of Rigvedacharya Vedamurti Dattaraj Guruji, Vedamurti Tanmay secured the first rank, Vedamurti Harsh secured the second, and Vedamurti Jay secured the third. Similarly, in the Shukla Yajurveda Pathshala, under the guidance of Yajurvedacharya Vedamurti Dattadas Guruji, Vedamurti Balkrishna stood first, Vedamurti Lokesh stood second, and Vedamurti Mohit stood third. All other Brahmavrunds also achieved success with excellent grades. School Administrator Suvarna Wayangankar stated that the active participation of all Brahmavrunds in various educational and co-curricular activities, along with their studies, is a key reason behind this success.
For this spectacular achievement, the Vedic Gurukul management, Principal, Acharyas, and parents congratulated all the successful Brahmavrunds and praised their hard work. Parents are expressing immense satisfaction upon seeing the progress of the students and the education provided by this Gurukul, which embodies the concept of ‘values along with education’. Preparations for the upcoming academic year 2026-27 are now in full swing, informed the Principal of the Vedic Gurukul, Vedamurti Anup.
