Sanatan Culture is a Sacrifice‑Oriented Culture: Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji
Kundaim, Goa: Gudhi Padwa is one of the most auspicious days among the “sade‑teen muhurta.” It is believed that Lord Brahma began creation on this day, which is why it is celebrated as the start of the New Year. This year marks the beginning of Parabhavanam Samvatsar. Traditionally, the day begins with the consumption of neem leaves, followed by Gudhi worship and raising the Gudhi outside the home, symbolizing the resolve for upward spiritual progress.

Addressing the gathering, Padmashri Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji said: “Sanatan culture is a sacrifice‑oriented culture. Our sages gifted us an agrarian, labor‑oriented way of life. When our thoughts are elevated, the inner soul constantly blesses us. We are worshippers of light, seekers of vastness, and followers of a culture that embraces and thinks of everyone. Sanatan Dharma considers the welfare of all. On Gudhi Padwa, every Hindu should resolve: I will work for the welfare of my state and nation, prepare something for the world, live and think for all.”

At Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Tapobhoomi Gurupith, Gudhi Padwa was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Pujya Swamiji delivered his address during the occasion.

Across the state, under the guidance of Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth and various Hindu institutions, special programs were held including Brahmadhwaj Puja, Panchang reading, morning processions, and festive rallies. At Tapobhoomi Gurupith, Brahmadhwaj Puja was performed by the hosts, followed by Panchang reading by Jyotishacharya Deepak Ji.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Saurabh Mathiyan (Director, West Coast Ingots Pvt. Ltd.), Akash Singhal (Director, Goa Ispat Pvt. Ltd.), Ajay Goyal (Director, Goa Ispat Ltd.), S.V. Mohanan, Shubhakhshan Naik (General Manager, Shri Datta Padmanabh Peeth), and others.
