India delivers message of Unity in Diversity to the World: H.H Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji
“We, the second most populous nation, exhibit nonpareil unity amidst the diversity and the World needs to learn this important lesson of harmonious co-existence from Indians. Despite the vividness of the culture, faiths, festivities, and socio-political ideologies we all Indians respect the dignity of each other and pass the message of Unity in Diversity and Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam to the world. This is how India is walking the path of Vishwaguru, leading by example.” addressed Padma Shri Awardee International Spiritual Leader HH Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji at the 15th session of the National Interfaith Meet in Delhi.
The annual meet was organized by the Indian Parliament of all Religions under the leadership of Swami Sushil Ji Maharaj and was hosted at St Joseph School Greater Noida on 25th April 2023. The theme for the dialogues of all the interfaith Speakers was ‘The importance and relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teaching to the present generation. The meeting marked the dignified presence of several religious leaders like Shri Brahmarshi Mohan ji, Dr. Imam Umar Ahmed Ilyasi, Shri Paramjeet Singh Chandok, Mr. Salman Chisty, Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjali, Shri Acharya Yeshi ji, Veer Singh Hitkari Ji Maharaj, etc. Dharmabhushan HH Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji represented the state of Goa and conveyed the beautiful message of the peaceful existence of Goans amidst the cultural and religious diversity it fosters. He emphasized that Goa derives its name from the Sanskrit word “Gau” referring to the land of cows and hence the sacredness and high tolerance values of Cow are by default in the DNA of Goans as our ancestors were in close proximity with Cows. With the message of Swami Vivekananda “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” Swamiji enlightened the gathering especially the school students on the importance of focused determination and persistence in achieving the ambitions, contributing to the welfare of the nation and lifting the spirit of humanity. Further, Swamiji expressed his heartiest wish to organize a similar Inter faith Parliament in the state of Goa and requested all the leaders to be part of it as it will deliver the message of Unity and Global Peace. Other leaders in their speeches highlighted the stories and incidents of the life of Swami Vivekananda and his supremacy in the Chicago conference by Leading Mother Nation.
The students of St Joseph School performed beautiful dances, skits, and Songs displaying rich cultural diversity and the peaceful co-existence of Indian communities. The stage event was followed by media interaction where the leaders conveyed the message of the parliament and the resolutions passed in the meeting. Shri Yog Bhushan ji proposed vote of thanks and the event was concluded by singing of National Anthem.
